Financial Analyst, Project Finance and Development

Responsibilities:  

The candidate will be a key member of the Advanced Power Project Development and Finance teams. Core duties will include:
• develop and manage financial models, including levered and unlevered cash flow, NPV and IRR analysis, for projects in active development and feasibility and projects Advanced Power is selling equity shares of and considering acquiring
• work closely with the development team to identify and manage the inputs to the project financial models
• contribute to the development of information memorandums, management presentations, pitch books and marketing materials
• evaluate potential acquisitions and analyze financial data of projects considered, and identify issues and opportunities to provide to management that will contribute to decision making
• research project finance transactions closed by others to identify possible markets of execution, pricing, debt levels, trends and best practices
• assist with ad hoc tasks as assigned and perform other duties as directed

Qualifications:  

Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in finance, economics, engineering, accounting, or related field. The candidate is expected to have at least three years of work experience in project finance, accounting, or financial modeling. Additional requirements include:
• proven ability to create and maintain financial models including debt and tax equity financing models
• proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and macros, and PowerPoint
• knowledge of ISO/RTO energy markets is preferred
• highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• balance multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously
• be able to work as part of a team towards a common goal
• quick learner and strong problem-solving skills
• ability to effectively perform within a matrix organizational environment
• exhibit high ethical standards and practices
