Eemsmond Energie Project [Netherlands]

Advanced Power is developing a 1,200 MW combined-cycle gas-fired power station in The Netherlands. The project will be located on the Northern coast within the port of Eemshaven. The project is expected to begin commercial operations in 2013.

The permitting process for the project was officially initiated with the submission of the Start Notice on 14 July 2008. Subsequently the MER Commission issued their guidelines on 3 October 2008. The environmental impact assessment (MER) was submitted mid-2009 and permit applications submitted on 6 November 2009. Copies of these documents can be downloaded by clicking on the links below.
