George Verberg

Non-Executive Board Member

George H. B. Verberg became a Non-Executive Member of the Board of Advanced Power AG in May 2007.

Mr. Verberg is President of the Energy Delta Institute, the higher education institute for the gas and oil industry which is a joint-venture of Gasunie, GasTerra, University of Groningen, Gazprom, Shell and RWE. Mr. Verberg was CEO of Nederlandse Gasunie N.V. from 1992 to 2006. Prior to his role as CEO, Mr. Verberg held the position of Chief Commercial Officer of the company. From 2003 to 2006, Mr. Verberg was President of the International Gas Union, the world gas industry association and NGO. At present Mr. Verberg holds various positions at boards and supervisory boards amongst them Vice-Chairman of the Board of URENCO Ltd, and Member of the Supervisory Boards of ESSENT and ECN.

Mr. Verberg has a Master degree in General Economics (cum laude) from the Erasmus University, Rotterdam.
